Identification: This last shot is a classic means of id’ing a female. You can view the white outer tail tips on her tail along side the dark eye line that flows from her beak to her eye. They are a very graceful looking bird and probably one of the largest I’ve seen come to my feeders.

Identification: The primary means is the black chin which if in sunlight will flash purple. The males are easy to identify as they looks a bit like flying graceful penguins.
